Consumer Units

Having a distribution Board/Fuse Board that complies with the latest amendments of the electrical industry, is not allays compulsory, however is highly recommended and in some occasions an old fuse board, it can fail your EICR certificate. Also by having the latest technology, it means you investment is protected more efficiently.

Electrical Fault Finding

In order for the correct repair, a professional electrician needs to perform fault finding. If the cause of a fault is identified correctly, it means that the correct materials and procedures are followed for the repairs and less likely is for the same fault to show again.

EICR

The new regulations, titled The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020, were officially brought in on 1st April 2020. In July 2020, all new tenancies required an EICR. As of 1st April 2021, this requirement applies to all tenancies – new and existing.

Installin a new circuit

Installing a new circuit, should only be done by a qualified electrician, as correct procedures should be followed, or this new installation can impact the new and existing circuits, if not done by a qualified electrician.

Before installing a new circuit, the existing circuit needs to be checked, if it is appropriate for 1 more circuit to be installed.
